Divine Morality or Divine Love? On Sterba’s New Logical Problem of Evil

چکیده

In his recent version of the logical problem evil, James Sterba articulates several moral principles that, on assumption that God is morally perfect, seem to entail God’s non-existence. Such principles, however, only apply he a agent. I first argue against this by appealing work Mark Murphy before, secondly, suggesting an alternative way frame Sterba’s argument in terms divine love. One can distinguish motivation promote creaturely welfare basis love from grounded morality, and claim doing so results stronger form argument.
